Warehouse management and safety communication

In the DHL project, in 2019, I contributed as a senior consultant to the development of a reference framework for warehouse management. The work also involved training in event investigation, proactive safety tools, and communication.

Warehouse management and event investigation

I participated in developing the warehouse management framework and delivered training in event investigation. An operation needs reference points to organize its work and preparation to understand situations that require attention to safety.

Investigation calls for care with the available information and how it is interpreted. Investigators take on a responsibility toward the people involved and the decisions that will be made based on that understanding. That is why I consider it important to prepare the team for this task.

Proactive safety tools

I developed and supported the implementation of proactive tools aimed at strengthening safety culture and risk perception. The purpose is to increase attention to work situations before an event requires a response.

The use of these tools needs to be understood by the people who will incorporate them into operations. For me, supporting implementation involves this commitment to people: they need to understand how to use the resources and what the organization expects of their participation.

Campaigns reaching Latin America

I developed a calendar of strategic campaigns aligned with DHL’s global strategy, with the aim of bringing the value of safety to all operations. The content produced also reached other countries in Latin America.

In communication, this alignment helps maintain a reference point for the topic the company wants to address. Attention to language remains necessary for messages to make sense to the people receiving them.
