Andreza Araújo

I work with safety culture, leadership, and strategy. My work brings management decisions closer to the experiences of the people doing the work.

My career

Over 500Safety Culture
Assessments

My work combines executive and consulting experience in projects carried out in Brazil and other countries.

I began my career in 1999. With an engineering education, I built my experience in industrial and corporate settings, working at FIESP’s Environment Department, PepsiCo, Unilever, and Votorantim Cimentos.

I have led ACS Global Ventures since March 2016. In this work, I bring together management experience, consulting, and leadership development. Close contact with operations helps me understand how decisions made in a meeting reach the people carrying out the work.

Examining the organization’s practices and listening to the people who experience them is the starting point. From there, I support leaders in deciding what needs to change and in leading those changes.

What leaders teach through their choices

Safety culture shows in the decisions an organization sustains, especially when pressure rises. What receives attention, how signs of risk are handled, and how freely people can speak say a great deal about the place of safety in that company.

That is why developing leaders is central to my work. Building trust, listening, and giving feedback need to be part of management. The way leaders make decisions, recognize people, and stay present in the field also influences what the team learns and repeats in daily practice.

I work on these responsibilities with leaders so they are clear about their role and the conditions they need to create for their teams. Care becomes visible when people find consistency between what the company says and what its managers do.

Understand what happens at work

Guidance may seem clear in a management meeting yet encounter difficulties when it reaches the work itself. Understanding these differences helps identify what needs to be reviewed in governance, leadership decisions, or the conditions for carrying out the work.

In assessments and investigations, I seek to understand why these differences arise. I bring this analysis into planning, leadership programs, and conversations with top management. This allows the difficulties faced by the people doing the work to be considered in organizational decisions.

Knowledge I share

My experience also informs the books and articles I write, my speaking engagements, and the public conversations I take part in. Through them, I share reflections on leaders’ choices and their consequences for people.

There are 16 books published in four languages. Care runs through this work as a management principle and a responsibility toward life. I write to broaden this conversation and invite readers to examine what happens in their own work.
